Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon
One of the privileges of working in wealth management is being able to see the huge benefits that a secure financial position can bring to individuals and their families. But not everyone is lucky enough to be in a position where they have the opportunity to build a financially secure future. It’s very important to us to give something back to our local community to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
We have chosen to support The Community Foundation for Wiltshire & Swindon. The Community Foundation is an independent charity formed in 1991 and dedicated to strengthening local communities by awarding grants to local charities and voluntary groups in the County of Wiltshire and the Borough of Swindon. Their aim is to make the area a better place to live in, by supporting voluntary and community groups that help people in need to develop their potential and overcome problems and barriers. In the financial year to March 2009, the Community Foundation awarded grants totalling £623,330 to 221 local projects and individuals.
Bourlet Wealth Management is a ‘friend’ of the foundation and in September 2008 Roger Bourlet ran the Chippenham Half Marathon, raising over £1,500 in sponsorship for them.
